Job content
As coordinator youth and education you support the Wonka Podia to make a structural and sustainable connection with children and youth. Because contact with this target group often happens through parents, schools and associations, an important part of the job is to build and maintain the network.
You take stock, take initiative, seek continuous connection, and roll out opportunities and initiatives - together with colleagues of the collaborating theaters. You will work together with the education officer of one of the venues, the communication officers of the various venues and the project leader Wonka Podia.
What will you be doing?
Probably no day is the same. You will work alternately on one of the stages, constantly gaining inspiration from other relevant projects or partners, joining and initiating discussions with relevant organizations and municipalities. You always look at how you can structurally bring children and young people into contact with theater. In this way, you create a solid educational basis for the stages, and you help to show how theater for this important target group can better meet their needs and wishes.
First project
In the spring of 2023, the Wonka podia will bring a pop-up performance to the neighborhoods within walking distance of the schools in their village/city in order to give the inhabitants an accessible way to be amazed by theater. This is a children's performance that is also attractive to parents and grandparents.
The schools are invited to attend the performances with their students. In this project you are the pivot with respect to organization, coordination and network management. You will ensure that the project is a success and lay the foundations for a sequel in 2024 and 2025.
