Cooperating Wonka Podia in Southeast Brabant organize the very first Wonka Comedy Festival
From Thursday, March 30 to Saturday, April 8, 2023, the very first Wonka Comedy Festival will take place. This festival is the result of the successful collaboration between the six Wonka venues from the region of South-East Brabant: Theater de Hofnar Valkenswaard, Kattendans Bergeijk, Parktheater Eindhoven, Theater de Schalm Eindhoven, Het Speelhuis & De Cacaofabriek Helmond.

The festive 10-day comedy festival is packed with regional, national and international comedy acts in all Wonka stages. Organizing gurus from the comedy world and programmers from the venues involved have joined forces for a high quality and varied line-up, with something for everyone.
Program
For example, regional comedy heroes Rob Scheepers and Christel de Laat can be seen together in the brand-new comedy series "Ons Pap en Ons Mam," in which they themselves act as ‘pap’ and ‘mam’ and bring their "keinder" - the new comedy talents - in their wake. In addition, there will be a unique preview of Het Zuidelijk Toneel's production Mission Molière, and we can enjoy Leon van der Zanden, OldenHermans and Thjum Arts, among others. The international lineup is also one to lick your proverbial fingers at. Among others, Scottish comedienne Fern Brady will take to the Wonka stage several times as part of a crazy English-language lineup comedy show, and they also managed to snare New York-based Tony Woods.
The venues are proud to present this Comedy Festival to the (Brainport) region. The Wonka Podia look forward to welcoming comedy lovers and discoverers of the genre to their homes. Young, old, of any nationality or background.
