BOOM, like that! staat al 10 jaar bekend als de band die de muziek van Dire Straits en Mark Knopfler tot in perfectie vertolkt. In de theatershow ‘Once Upon A Time…’ staan alle studioalbums centraal en wordt op muzikale wijze het verhaal verteld van de Britse rockband.

Elk album heeft een eigen karakter en een eigen verhaal: ‘Dire Straits’ (1978) de doorbraak met het ‘ouderwetse’ typische Dire Straits-geluid. Daarna ‘Communiqué’ (1979) en ‘Making Movies’ (1980) waarbij de band werd uitgebreid met toetsen en saxofoon. Vervolgens het epische album ‘Love Over Gold’ (1982) opgevolgd door ‘Brothers in Arms’ (1985), het best verkochte album met de meeste hits, en als laatste ‘On Every Street’ (1991). Van elke plaat wordt de beste muziek gespeeld.

Niet alleen bekende hits, maar ook prachtige minder bekende nummers komen aan bod. Dire Straits is afwisselend, veelzijdig maar vooral kwalitatief van hoog niveau. Met deze show raakt BOOM, like that! letterlijk en figuurlijk de gevoelige snaar!

English For ten years, BOOM, like that! has been known to be the band that performs the music of Dire Straits and Mark Knopfler to perfection. In the theater show ‘Once Upon A Time ...’ the studio albums take center stage and are used to tell the story of this British rock band in a musical way.

Each album has its own character and its own story: ‘Dire Straits’ (1978) was their breakthrough album containing the ‘old-fashioned’ typical Dire Straits sound. For ‘Communiqué’ (1979) and ‘Movies’ (1980) the band was expanded with a keyboard player and saxophonist. Followed by the epic album ‘Love Over Gold’ (1982) and ‘Brothers in Arms’ (1985), the best-selling album containing the most hits, and finally ‘On Every Street’ (1991). BOOM, like that! Is playing the best songs from each album.

They will not only play the well-known hits, but also cover the beautiful lesser-known songs. BOOM, like that! offers a varied, versatile, but above all high-quality show. With ‘Dire Straits – Once Upon A Time… they truly know how to captivate the audience!
