Bram: “Classical music is as versatile as life itself, this unique ensemble lets us hear and feel that. Although often seen as elitist, classical music has a deep connection with folk music: it imitates, paraphrases, or even arises directly from it. The Watergang Quartet plays classical music from the perspective of (Eastern European) folk music: raw and primitive, fragile and intense, but above all unexpectedly classical.”
Watergang Quartet
The Watergang Quartet, a curious ensemble: clarinet, trumpet, trombone, double bass. They delve into the rich sounds of Eastern European folk music and bring it to life in their own way. Their music explores the boundaries until they become unclear. Where does classical end and folk begin?
