Esther van der Voort
In a painfully humorous way, comedian Esther van der Voort (also a single mom and ex-civil servant) discovered what is really important in life. But did Esther always make the right choices, or did she react purely out of emotion? As a single mother, daily life is a rollercoaster of emotions. With four children, the flood of questions goes on all day long. Mom, where's my hockey stick? What time is it? What are we eating?
How on earth did she end up in this situation? Life sometimes seems like a series of choices not made, but mom also has all kinds of questions herself. Why is she married? How did she get that dog? What should she do with this job? Why did she say, “Okay, we'll have another child,” when choosing a bank can sometimes take two years?
Sometimes it becomes too much for Esther and you just put it away because mommy is angry. Angry with her children, angry with her ex, angry with the girl behind the cash register, angry with her navigation system, angry with her boss - but above all: angry with herself.
