Fay Claassen
Fay Claassen is taking part in the TV programme Beste Zangers this year
Celebrate Christmas with the music of Barbra Streisand and you celebrate it in style. Following the huge success of Fay Sings Barbra, Fay Claassen, the powerhouse of jazz, returns to the theatre. This time she presents a brand-new Christmas tour centred on Barbra Streisand’s iconic Christmas repertoire – full of warmth, nostalgia, elegance and vocal power.
In 1967 Barbra Streisand released her legendary A Christmas Album, which has since become one of the best-selling Christmas albums of all time. In 2001 she released Christmas Memories, her second Christmas album. Fay brings Streisand’s unique renditions of classics such as Silent Night, Jingle Bells, My Favorite Things and The Christmas Song back to life. Not as an imitation, but as a personal, emotional interpretation that does justice to Streisand’s musicianship and to Fay’s own signature style.
Four-time Edison winner Fay Claassen has a voice that touches you – penetrating, versatile and full of character. With her fantastic band, joined by a violinist, she turns this Christmas show into an enchanting experience.
