An evening full of uncomfortable truths, illuminating insights and, above all, a lot of humor.
Is there anything to laugh about in today's world? If it were up to Harm Edens, yes. Because let's face it: man is being completely absurd. With war, overconsumption and the destruction of the earth. Yet Harm remains optimistic and humor is his weapon in the fight for a better world. If we're going to go down, we might as well do it laughing.
In this performance, Harm focuses on his urge to make the world a more beautiful and fun place. Because we've all made a mess of it, you know. Harm wants to discuss this with the public. “Do you really need that air fryer, Henk? You already have three winter coats, Josien, do you really need to add a fourth one?”
The core of Harm's existence: do everything with pleasure
“I grew up in a joyless home, where nothing was celebrated, where nothing was enjoyed, where humor did not exist, where I was not seen. These experiences have shaped me into who I am: someone who approaches crazy life with a lot of humor, remains optimistic (usually) and enjoys it as much as possible. That's why I also talk about that formative side of my life.”
