In the performance 'Bloedheet & pratene', the Flemish presenter and theater maker Evi Hanssen explores with the necessary dose of humor how menopause, that wonderful phase in a woman's life, affects her body and mind. She talks about her struggles with herself and her environment, her transition from fiery sex bomb to confident graying lady and the hormonal chaos that turns her life and that of those around her upside down.
Just like in her previous performance 'Since I stopped drinking', Evi engages in conversation with her audience in a playful and personal way. She shares her experiences about the changes in the female body and explains in a light-hearted, yet scientifically substantiated way, how her hormones occasionally go their own way. She breaks taboos with humor and celebrates the transition with you. This evening is all about celebrating the power of women. Whether you come with friends or with male company (because they too have to deal with the menopause!), this is the ideal opportunity to sound together on this special phase.
