‘NOSTALGIE NONDEPIE’ is a show for the ‘Onjeklonje’ generation and their descendants.
Together with the audience, Jacques van Gerven reminisces fondly about the days when the blind finch could still see perfectly well and the stick insect could still run the 100 metres in 10 seconds.
Accompanied by Paul Brugel and Aloys Wetzer, Jacques sings ‘brand-new songs’, but also Golden Hits of yesteryear, rewritten in the dialect of Valkeswird.
‘NOSTALGIE NONDEPIE’ is a trip back to the days when everything was better. Or are we happy to be fooled by our selective memory, which tricks us into believing we have lost something important and precious?
