Virtually out of nowhere, autodidact and mathematics teacher Piet van Eeghen won the public award at the Leids Cabaret Festival 2022. De Telegraaf spoke about a wonderful stage personality and praised his virtuoso language and inimitable timing. Theaterkrant was also praising: "An all -round performer who is both an excellent conference and a gifted musician (guitar and piano), composer and lyricist poet [is]. If that guest is just as fun for the class as on stage then his students can be envied. "
In his debut performance De Enlightenment nearby, the audience gets to know Piet through his absurdist songs and subtle irony -filled conferences.
He conquers the room with his charm, shares his bizarre brainwaves with the audience and is shamelessly taking a closer look at his spirit in the Enlightenment.
