The versatility of Billy Joel's impressive oeuvre can hardly be overestimated. The master has always managed to move like a virtuoso through all possible figures of speech. But there is one constant factor: the classical influence.
Alexander Broussard of The Billy Joel Experience wanted to make visible the duality within Joel's work between pop and classical by pitting his band against the German string quartet 'La Finesse', but discovered that one cannot exist without the other. In 'Nocturne' they meet, fight and embrace each other;
