Happy Village is an intense and intimate trio with Rolf Delfos (tenor sax), Frank Montis (Hammond organ) and Pim Dros (drums). Small in cast, big in expression. By often playing whisper softly, an impressive dynamic range is created, in which transparent compositions and free improvisation flow together seamlessly. A bending sax, a warm growling Hammond and subtle brush sounds provide musical interaction at the highest level, with a deep-rooted swing. Originated from the collaboration of Delfos and Montis, the listener feels like he is in the front row. With cinematic titles such as Oh Lord Thou Will Soffle and A Foggy Night, Happy Village takes the audience on a musical journey until the last note.
