Kiki Schippers
As a contemporary intersection between Bob Dylan & Janis Joplin, Kiki Schippers pours out her head and heart into a linguistic, musical and dazzling solo about ideals. Politicians come and go, the world is changing and the mood changes. In all that violence, Kiki wonders aloud: what can you choose? And what do your ideals actually have to do with that? You want to vote for the politician you trust, but not on that one party. You want to save but also vacation. Do you remain faithful to the love of your life or do you follow your heart? Life is full of practical objections.
At a time when overproductivity and self -development to fight most likes, everyone seems to be too tired to choose, even if it is between sushi and pizza Hawaii tonight. Between Droom and deed, Kiki outlines a world full of contradictions, in which she continues to fight for a place where things can exist next to each other: ideas, feelings, bubbles and people who no longer know for sure. What is certain is: we all struggle, and when Kiki starts to sing, everyone becomes quiet.
Kiki Schippers has been thinking for years with her linguistic columns, sings protest songs that keep dancing through your head and sands her sharp observations and critical questions. Last year she was nominated for the most impressive cabaret performance of the season and earlier she already won the Annie M.G. Schmid prize for the best theater song. With her super -fast humorous contributions to programs such as Spijkers with heads, speech makers on 1 & printing temers and her beautiful voice, she knows how to touch everyone.
