The Blue Trail
Ticket sales for the Tuesday afternoon films are unplaced, which means that there are no fixed seats and seat numbers. You can choose a place yourself in the afternoon.
In the not too distant future, the Brazilian government has come up with an ingenious plan to combat the 'elderly problem': everyone over the age of 75 is declared 'living heritage', with the result that all people over 75 will have to settle in a specially designed senior colony.
Tereza may be 77, but she is still full of zest for life. She wants to travel, discover and decide for herself about her life, but none of this is allowed without her daughter's permission. Tereza refuses to accept what the government asks of her and decides to follow her own path. She travels alone through the vast Amazon jungle. Along the way, her strength, stubbornness and zest for life are tested, as she survives in a system that reduces the elderly to passive spectators of their own lives.
