Following the success of the five-star show Arthur & Friedrich, een nacht in Bayreuth, theatre duo Linssen & Provily now present the third show in their philosophy series. In Hannah & Simone, een ochtend in New York we ask ourselves, and them, the question: what should we do? Are we really as powerless as we sometimes feel in this violent world, or are we just as responsible? What on earth is the good?

Hoping for answers, we – one a principled activist, the other a cautious doubter – seek counsel from two thinkers, Arendt and Weil. They never met. Until now.

An apartment, thirteen floors up. Two women, philosophers. Both Jewish, both fled to the safety of America. Both terrified of groups. And both hooked on cigarettes. But then, there is a war on. And isn’t a person allowed to enjoy themselves too?
Agreed: you have to do something. But what? And what if, after doing so much, you find that nothing changes? Are you allowed to give up then?
