NOW WE ARE EARTH / An Orchestra - Nicole Beutler Projects
This dance opera is looking for a new balance with everything that lives. Humans, animal, plant, fungus, bacteria and technology: now we are earth is a future dream in which all elements live in peace and coherence with the planet.
Inspired by the endless and inextricable commitments of fungal threads in a mushroom, all performers build together on a polyphonic, resonating web full of colors and sounds, as an eternally redirect and branching pattern.
In the performance, the boundaries between stage and the public are stretched and the visitor experiences a performance in which music, singing, dance and decor merge into an eco-futuristic "singing together for more coherence". The voices of the performers and a many -headed city choir under the leadership of the young composer Timo Tembuyser, together with the decor of Lena Newton and the electronic, futuristic sound landscapes of composer Gary Shepherd form a gesame artwork that resonates like a joint, lively breathing.
Impact program
An impact program will take place in the foyer prior to the performance, consisting of different installations and activities such as an audio introduction, reading table, short film and meeting with a climate psychologist.
Now we are Earth is the third and final part of the trilogy rituals of Transformation (Towards a New Humanity) in which Beutler designs Future visions for the place of man on earth in times of the climate crisis.
