Daan van der Hoeven

In ‘Mensenmens’ Daan van der Hoeven takes you on a funny and sharp quest for self-knowledge. With relatable, personal stories he shows how we think we’ve finally figured ourselves out, only to discover we’re back at square one. Or as ChatGPT puts it: “Life isn’t a puzzle you solve, but a game you play.” Could that be the very essence of life?

What the press say about ‘Mensenmens’:

"Such control, such expression, such delightful nonchalance and, above all, what a lovely show.”(Het Parool)

“There’s just enough glue between the various stories, without Mensenmens ever feeling forcibly cabaret-like. It’s more of a stand-up symphony, in which every word seems to flow off the cuff and rings true. Calling Van der Hoeven a talent would be an insult.” (Het Parool)
