Frans Pollux en BJ Baartmans
He comes from Venlo, the city with a close-knit community that is so close to his heart that it is a theme in much of his work.
Versatility is the key word: his literary work coexists with the fasting songs, his serious theater texts do not detract from his folk theater pieces in dialect, and his interest in science goes together with his love for Limburg folk culture.
In De Schalm with his music, with his songs, in Limburgish, his Limburgish and he is accompanied by guitarist singer BJ Baartmans.
Frans has been writing songs since he was fifteen. With his school band Neet oét Lottum he built up a large fan base and an extensive repertoire.
He has been writing and performing under his own name since 2010.
