Het Zesde Metaal met 'Even tussen ons'
In Belgium, the band Het Zesde Metaal needs no introduction. With classics such as Ploegsteert, Naar De Wuppe and Tid Van Ton, and acclaimed, award-winning albums such as Nie Voe Kinders and Calais, the Flemish band around singer Wannes Cappelle has become a permanent fixture in the music landscape.
Early 2024 saw the release of their sixth album Het langste jaar, which, together with its predecessor Skepsels, also marked Het Zesde Metaal’s breakthrough in the Netherlands. De Volkskrant gave Het langste jaar four stars – ‘Their most beautiful album’ – and their club tour played to sold-out venues in Amsterdam and Utrecht.
About Het Zesde Metaal
At a theatre concert by Het Zesde Metaal you don’t just hear the songs in all their purity. Between songs, singer Wannes Cappelle also keeps his audience on their toes with juicy stories and reflections that betray his past as a cabaret performer. In 2002 he won both the press and audience awards at the Belgian Humorologie Concours.
