But can you really pull that off when you’re trying so hard to keep things nice and light? The brothers dodge, deny and do their very best to make sure the whole evening is about absolutely nothing. Just a good laugh – what more could you want these days? Right?
About Joey & Dave:
For brothers Joey and Dave, humour has always been a way to soften life’s hardest blows, to make them something you can talk about – or at the very least to deny them vigorously. It runs in the family. Yet they are very different. As the older brother, Joey feels responsible for everything. Dave happily sidesteps any kind of responsibility.
In 2022 their first theatre show Verbrand Je Vingers Niet – a razor-sharp show about the death of their father – took them to the final of the Cameretten festival. On stage they want above all to share personal stories, create recognisable situations, open up difficult subjects and lay bare painful differences.
