Loes Luca en The Ramblers
The Ramblers enter the theater with none other than Loes Luca – actress, singer and grande dame of Dutch theater. Since the eighties she has been conquering hearts with unforgettable roles in theater, television and films such as The Girl with the Red Hair, Mi Vida, Schaep met de 5 Pawen, Maud and Babs and of course Yes Sister, No Sister.
With her unique mix of humor, emotion and courage, Loes brings her irresistible energy to a concert program in which music, stories and nostalgia come together. Together, Loes Luca and The Ramblers take the audience through a rich repertoire of Dutch classics — with perhaps even a surprising musical excursion across the border.
Expect pearls from Adèle Bloemendaal, Jasperina de Jong and Corrie Brokken, with songs such as Het Vingerlied, De Rosse Buurt, You can't walk on one leg and Iwan (the knife thrower). Of course, the genuine Ramblers heritage is also present, with classics such as Wie is Loesje, Do you remember, that evening in the rain and perhaps even a new process by Pietertje Swing...
Led by trumpeter and composer Loet van der Lee, the 12-piece orchestra breathes new life into swing classics such as Strike Up The Band, Avalon and Farewell Blues. The rich history of The Ramblers is also reflected, with stories about legendary collaborations with jazz icons such asColeman Hawkins and Benny Carter.
