In the first half you’ll imagine yourself in Portugal, with the profound, melancholic sounds of Maria de Fátima’s pure fado. After the interval you travel through Spain with a refined mix of flamenco, Latin and jazz, performed by Raquel Kurpershoek.

Maria de Fátima is a renowned fado singer, born in Lisbon. She is regarded as an important ambassador for fado and Portuguese culture abroad. With an impressive career that began at the age of 12 and numerous albums to her name, she is praised for her authentic and passionate interpretation of traditional fado. Maria is accompanied by two guitarists, on classical guitar and Portuguese guitar.
Raquel Kurpershoek is an Amsterdam-born artist who grew up between the Netherlands and Spain. With an Andalusian mother who is a flamenco dance teacher, and a father who is an art historian and traveller, she developed a unique style that combines the rhythms of flamenco with the musical diversity of the world. She is known for her ability to weave genres such as Latin and jazz into her work. Raquel is accompanied by a pianist and a multi-percussionist.
