Six participants started a journey in October 2025 to create their own half-hour performance. The first six months of digging for their own stories and the second half of the year shaping those stories. One opted for comedy, the other for dance, music, singing or a combination. Anything was allowed as long as it enhanced the authenticity and crowned their journey.
In addition, they watched professional performances together and interviewed the makers extensively, they learned to 'act' with a dramaturge and they worked with a professional technical team to provide their shows with the right light and sound. And now it's finished. Experienced, inexperienced, but now they are all ready to introduce you to who they really are. The first edition of the annual program came to a successful climax in May 2024, the second concluded in a grand manner in October 2025 and now this third edition will surpass that.
Participants:
Dinie Jansen
You don't want to miss this, do you?!
A performance about missing and blessing where the audience cannot be missed.
Dinie discusses her life so far. She has had to let go of a lot at a young age, but it strengthens her in the path she wants to take.
'Your nest partly determines how you approach life, but your own self is the one who determines it.'
Yvonne van der Hout
Yvonne van der Hout takes you into a personal performance full of singing, dancing and playing, with a touch of humor. Real, recognizable and sometimes confrontational. About wrong choices, letting go and learning to trust yourself again. Because you know for sure... you never do it.
Maartje van de Ven
Incomprehensible! Everyone seems to understand how life works, except me.
I try all day to do what others do so as not to stand out.
But somehow that does just the opposite.
I can't seem to crack the code and everything seems to have turned 180 degrees.
If only I were normal, I would probably understand. In this cabaret performance, Maartje takes you through a number of highs and lows in her life in her own unique way.
She is now 44 years old.
Would she ever manage to connect with the normal human world again?
