Ta Joela
Most people will of course know Ta Joela (Joel) from his razor-sharp sketches and humorous content, his own YouTube channel and his work for Supergaande. But behind all that humour lies a serious side, too, and a story that many people don’t yet know. In his new theatre show Ta Joela returns to his childhood, when he grew up in an asylum seekers’ centre. This is where it all began, and where he may well have discovered just how important humour is.
