Club Guy & Roni

Dans & ballet

In the annual club Guy & Roni Invites, international dance company Club Guy & Roni invites promising makers. It is about talented makers with whom they feel a great relationship and like to present them to a larger audience. With Club Guy & Roni Invites, the new generation of dance makers is on the map with striking, urgent, interdisciplinary and inescapable performances. After, among others, Dunja Jocic, Lunatics & Poets and Cecilia Moisio, it is the turn of Ja Collective and Duo Rebecca Laufer and Mats van Rossum in the fifth edition.  Their background in hip hop, contemporary dance and theater background leads to a unique style. This provides a fresh, innovative and energetic perspective. Through their play in different domains of dance and multidisciplinary forms, they hope to challenge the art form and push them to new places. JA Collective previously collaborated with artists such as Frank Ocean, Paul McCartney, Justin Bieber and William Forsythe.  With refined choreography and dynamic lighting we unfold a story about loss, mourning and healing. The music creates a grounded reality, broken by this turning point. Yet moments of playfulness are created an ode to the complexity of mourning and the unexpected power of joy. "They believe that dance art has a transforming power that transcends the boundaries of exclusive art circles. It is not intended for a select group of art lovers but rather for a wider audience. The essence lies in the ability to resonate with people from all layers of the population, regardless of their background or fame with artistic expressions. By embracing inclusiveness, movement becomes a power to promote understanding, empathy and connection.  Can we find her again? While dancers embody the forces that separate and connect us, magical images crash with raw emotions - loss, hope, resistance and desire for human contact.  A surreal but recognizable world that challenges us to find what seems to be lost. "For this you can reserve a place free of charge during the ordering process.
