In the new performance of Panama Pictures, A Story of Displacement, people encountered a group of people, looking for a familiar place, Eenthuis. Staggering on uncertain soil, they threaten to go down and stay behind. In this nobody country they are dependent on each other. The search in A Story of Displacement is set in an inhospitable landscape with rocky sloping surfaces and wavy floor parts that turn out to be elastic.  In this isolated landscape, other natural laws seem to apply that creates a new, fascinating movement idiom.

With a Story of Displacement, Panama Pictures shows how we relate to our environment and how we deal with each other in these disruptive times. Our Language of Dance and Circus shows the power and vulnerability of the seeking person. Carefully and supporting each other, the dancers strive for a collective victory in this dystopian landscape. The music, a reinterpretation of contemporary techno is specially composed by Strijbos and Van Rijswijk and Davide Bellotta, and performed live by Davide Bellotta (Electronics) and a cellist.
