The story behind the legend
Edith Piaf has just passed away. And she is very confused. This isn't what she wanted. This is not what she ever imagined. She would die in Paris with a priest at her bedside. Not in some hamlet. Recently deceased, the confused Piaf encounters four characters. The Angel. The Devil. The Fool. And Death. Then it turns out that her husband Theo Sarapo has listened carefully to her. He called an ambulance and lied to the driver that Edith was sleeping. The journey is a long one. Almost a thousand kilometers. Piaf insists to her four companions that she is not dead as long as she is not in Paris. And as long as she doesn't know what she's leaving behind. For the duration of the journey to Paris, she is stuck with these four passengers, each of whom has left an indelible impression on her life. Piaf wants to know where these four were in her life. Through their stories and Edith Piaf's unforgettable music, the legend relives several important moments in her life to discover who she was and what it is that she leaves behind.
