Grof Geschud
The Flemish-Dutch Cabaret duo Grof Geschud is back! After being described in the press as “direct heirs of Kommil Foo” (Het Parool) and “almost perfect cabaret” (Knack Focus), Myrthe van Velden and Lander Severins now present their fourth full-length performance 'CELEBRATE'.
There is a lot to celebrate: there are children, a solid roof over the head and the relationship between the two is more stable than ever now that they have been promoted from exes to each other's extended family. Okay, maybe Myrthe becoming the guardian of Lander's child and Lander not even being allowed to attend Myrthe's wedding was a thing. But fortunately Lander is not at all bitter about that. He received a USB stick with the wedding service, which he still has not viewed (according to Myrthe).
In 'CELEBRATES', Grof Geschud delves into the new tensions in their lives in their usual, brutally honest way. Because how do you compensate for the loss of your family while raising a new life? And if that family is there, and quite present, do we celebrate that family bond at all costs or should we celebrate it better? Because you know what they say: life is a party, you just have to support your family.
