Ramon Chatrer (‘sjatree’ is Old French for ‘castrate’) can’t wait, because tonight’s the night! His second cabaret show ‘VOLK’ received glowing four-star reviews and Theaterkrant named it a ‘Critic’s Choice’.
With his charming looks and unruly mop of hair, Chatrer talks about growing up in a small Brabant village and the hustle and bustle of ‘the big city’ where he now lives. There are people everywhere, and every time Ramon just doesn’t quite fit in. The result is a heap of jokes, surprising stories and acclaimed songs influenced by funk, soul and blues, played on bass guitar among other things. With ‘VOLK’, Chatrer tells an impressive and important story about the secrets of a cosy Brabant village. “An evening that will stay with you for a long time”, according to the press.
