Before the Story Starts is an experimental, immersive, one-man performance that takes place on the threshold before a (or THE) story begins.

Inspired by The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy, Being John Malkovich and Alan Watts, master storyteller Thomas Dudkiewicz travels through the subconscious of the universe in search of answers.

The story that isn't a story yet has a surreal structure, full of cryptic hosts, fickle guides, and philosophical dead ends.

As he meets his alter ego(s), he unravels the story of why, why does he tell stories? How does meaning come about? And what happens when we are faced with the possibility that there is no answer?
