Stille Stoet - Krachtvoer
We talk a lot. But what if your dear family member, friend or client can no longer follow your words? Dementia reduces understanding of spoken language, which can cause confusion and anxiety. You still want contact so badly, but how do you do that without words?
In the musical encounters of De Stille Stoet KRACHTVOER omits all spoken language. This creates space to make contact from within the body. A colorful procession of musicians and players moves softly through the space and invites playful and loving interaction, tailored to everyone's needs.
KRACHTVOER, in collaboration with the Alzheimer Café, is developing a new theatrical form for a wide audience especially for the Parktheater. You are taken into delay and stillness, and follow several intimate interactions at the same time. This gives you a special insight into the possibilities of non-verbal contact with people with dementia.
In addition to the performance, Maddy Kok will give a compact theater lecture about The KRACHTVOER Method, followed by room for conversation and questions. The evening ends with the documentary De Stille Stoet 2.0.
