YOAH - CIRQUEWORK
Under the artistic direction of Yusaku Mochizuki, yoah originated from a moment of reflection. Yusaku Mochizuki gets his inspiration from legendary Japanese monuments, such as the ōsawa pond (大沢池) and the Daikaku-Ji temple (大覚寺) in Kyoto. The moon, which plays an important role in Japanese culture, stands for innovation and hope. Every act in the show revolves around this theme. Contortionists, trapezer artists, diabolists and a variety of other artists take you to a timeless Japanese empire surrounded by the enchanting and mystical universe of yoah
Yoah delivers an unparalleled merger of Japanese tradition and modernity, in which Japanese drums, electric music, traditional dances and digital effects merge. This performance full of rhythm and poetry will bring the audience, young and old, to rods.
