Ziel & Zalig is about getting back up out of the rubble and rising from the ashes. Spijkers sings and tells of his intense longing to take part in life in all its grandeur and passion.

Especially in these grim times, when the news brings us mostly madness and horror, it is vital to make people laugh again, to offer hope and to let them believe in a future in which the world heals and love triumphs. Yes: big words, but we mean them.

We must sing, dance, laugh and enjoy. And we must break our bread and share it with others.
In short: with Ziel & Zalig Spijkers radiates a generous, fearless and passionate zest for life.

Hope and comfort and Joost! Cheers!
