In Belgium, the band Het Zesde Metaal no longer needs to be introduced to anyone. With classics such as Ploegsteert, Naar De Wuppe and Tid Van Ton, and acclaimed and award-winning albums such as Nie Voe Kinders and Calais, the Flemish band around singer Wannes Cappelle has become an indispensable part of the music landscape.
The sixth album The Longest Year was released at the beginning of 2024, which, together with the previous album Skepsels, also meant the breakthrough of Het Zesde Metaal in the Netherlands. De Volkskrant gave the album The Longest Year four stars: 'Their most beautiful album' and their club tour yielded sold-out halls in Amsterdam and Utrecht.
