In JOIE DE VIVRE Joël takes you on a personal quest. Cycling towards Paris, looking for 'the man' - a mythical master of theater and success. Halfway through he receives a phone call from the Netherlands. Whether he wants to become the face of a major event in the Philips Stadium. Dream or certainty. Silence or mass. Church or fair.
What follows is a sharp, funny and musical performance in which Joël questions himself, celebrates life and takes the audience into his dilemma. With strong songs, humor and unexpected twists.
JOIE DE VIVRE is not a choice between two worlds, but a musical collision of ambition, doubt and success.
The performance is developed in collaboration with director Ruut Weissman (a.o. Peter Pannekoek, Paul de Leeuw, Acda & De Munnik, Simone Kleinsma).
