When the goddess Venus descends to the messy earth, she only has eyes for him: Adonis. She should be able to get that, right? After all, Venus is the perfect woman: she is smart, powerful, educated. Hello, she is a goddess;But why is that ambitionless Adonis so little interested in her love? We see the well-known clash between someone who is completely ready for love. And someone who closes down. Will Venus learn that what she is looking for isn't actually love at all? The epic poem inexorably exposes all the dark sides of what we call love: wanting to possess, convincing, coercing, not being able to tolerate a “no”. How is it possible that Venus, the woman who is 'finished', becomes so entangled in the search for that ego love? And how long can she keep trying before it becomes humiliating? She tries to seduce Adonis in every possible way, until the moment when instinct and instinct take over, and she makes a terrible choice. Director Agnes Kumpina does believe that love exists without a shadow. Kumpina manages to transform the train wreck that is the 'love' between Venus and Adonis into something greater.
