Marjolijn van Kooten
We know Marjolijn from her earlier sell-out shows about panic, worrying and pills. Her honest, deadpan cabaret, full of self-mockery, is a genre in its own right and fills theatres all over the Netherlands.
In this show she wonders why we only really appreciate life once someone has died. Or fallen ill. Couldn’t we do that a bit sooner? Do people have to drop dead before we feel alive? Black humour, tender songs and shameless stories: that is Van Kooten through and through. She’s certainly doing her bit.
