The legendary phenomenon of the Edinburgh Fringe Festival is finally coming back to the Netherlands! This groundbreaking British theater performance combines the world of Norse mythology with professional wrestling. The Telegraph described this as 'the perfect way to tell this story'. Shakespearean drama is combined with raw, physical fights, performed by actors who wrestle professionally.

In Mythos: Ragnarök we follow Loki, Thor and Freyja in a humorous, energetic and surprisingly moving retelling of the well-known Norse sagas. The gods are faced with a decisive choice: work together to create a new world, or perish in the apocalyptic battle of Ragnarök. The makers combine the dramatic eloquence of William Shakespeare with the raw tension of live fights, performed by a unique cast of actors trained in professional wrestling. The result is an evening full of spectacular action, impressive handmade costumes and a compelling original soundtrack by composer Kjell Braaten, known for Wardruna and Vikings: Valhalla. After each performance there is a Meet & Greet with cast and crew.

The show is completely independently written, directed and produced by lead actor Ed Gamester and has been performed more than 300 times worldwide. Do you dare to get close?
