Nasrdin Dchar is back in the theatre. After four exceptionally successful shows about four deeply personal stories, he is now making what may be his most intimate show yet, together with his regular director Floris van Delft.

Everyone gets scared, but with Nasrdin it goes just that little bit further. He doesn’t often let it show, but meanwhile one doom scenario after another races through his head. About his own health, about the future of the world, but also about little things like the fruit sprinkles he has just bought at the supermarket.

In Wat als… Dchar takes the audience on a sometimes hilarious, sometimes oppressive journey through the haunted house in his head. Because what should we really be afraid of, and what will turn out fine after all?

About Nasrdin Dchar

Nasrdin has previously made four successful solo shows. In OUMI (mother), Nasrdin played his mother and, through her, a whole generation of Moroccan women. In DAD (father), Nasrdin played his father and entered into dialogue with him, while also reflecting on his own fatherhood. In JA Nasrdin showed how bumpy the road of love can be, telling the story of the love between him and his wife Amy. In the 21–22 season, with his Familiekroniek , Nasrdin performed the three aforementioned shows in a single evening. During the pandemic he also made the show ADEM about the chaos of 2020.
