About Pieter
Cabaret performer, comedian, actor... you can’t stick just one label on Pieter Verelst. He studied in the Netherlands and took his first steps in comedy there. In 2014 he made his debut with his comedy show ‘Mijn Broer en Ik’ and immediately won the Groninger Studenten Cabaret Festival. Two years later he also won Cameretten. This threw open the doors to Flanders and, like Jade Mintjes, he appeared as one of the 8 rising talents in ‘Voor De Leeuwen’ on één, vrt.
With his second comedy show ‘Amai’ and his next, ‘Ten Aarzel’, he firmly established himself as a comedian. He received glowing reviews and is seen as one of the most exciting comedians of his generation.
