Puur de Nijs

Since 2022, Puur de Nijs has been paying tribute to Rob de Nijs. Now that Rob is sadly no longer with us, having passed away on 16 March 2025, this theatre show has become even more meaningful.

Many Rob de Nijs fans across the Netherlands have already been to see the show. After two fantastic theatre tours with many sold-out houses, PUUR DE NIJS returns in the 2026-2027 season with a brand-new show.

Marcel Mulders and his five-piece band naturally play the very best songs, and singer Marcel also shares lovely stories about the Netherlands’ greatest artist, sometimes with a dash of humour and a personal twist. Enjoy beautiful video footage shown during several of the songs, too.

Enjoy classics such as ‘Mallebabbe’, ‘Zondag’ and ‘Het werd zomer’. But also newer songs such as ‘ ‘Wat als later nu is’ and a few surprising numbers written by Rob’s fellow artists.

Don’t expect a Rob look-alike/sound-alike; this is a tribute to Rob de Nijs, performed with respect. All the songs are true to life and relatable, which creates a special bond between people – and you can feel it in the auditorium.

And the reactions are so positive:

‘It was a lovely musical evening in which Rob’s songs were performed with care. A tribute to a top artist, giving us the chance to experience his songs live one more time”.

‘It was a fantastic evening. We enjoyed it from start to finish!’

“PUUR DE NIJS succeeds in combining, in the theatre, the intimacy of some of the songs with the well-known singalongs”. PUUR DE NIJS performs them in a dignified way”.
