Romijn Conen
VALLICHT, actor Romijn Conen tells the moving story of a man in his fifties who is kicked out of his house by his wife: “I can no longer be your loved one if you continue to hide behind your disabilities. You are more than that, but you no longer see it yourself!” For themselves? Also, but even more so for all those people who believed in him, but one after another let him go because (according to himself) he was nothing more than a failing man... That he only got - and gave nothing in return. In this moving monologue we hear how this man, despite his aphasia, manages to find words for his resurrection (which doctors considered impossible) and for his wife's loving cry that he must try to be 'Romijn' again! This partly autobiographical piece is Romijn Conen's comeback on the Dutch stage. A life cry from an actor par excellence.
