Slagerij van Kampen

Muziek

In Rhythm of Freedom Slagerij van Kampen's urge for ultimate freedom comes to life. Experience how the overwhelming primal urge of the drums, the swirling percussion and keys merge different cultures and corners of the world.  A band that embraces other cultures, uses them as inspiration and is completely free in its musical thinking. Slagerij van Kampen developed a unique, completely individual style, which led to, among other things, an Edison, a gold record, a golden ticket award and many sold-out halls. A band that was allowed to perform for Nelson Mandela in the context of freedom, and recently at the National Liberation Concert on the Amstel.  The fusion of influences from different corners of the world creates the most beautiful rhythms and unexpected combinations. Not only experience the power of the big picture, but sometimes also experience the intimate, individual character of the instruments.  With their powerful, rhythmic shows and unique drumming style inspired by the Burundi Drummers, they conquered stages worldwide. After 40 years they are still a source of energy, inspiration and musical spectacle.
