Thijs Kemperink
Comedian Thijs Kemperink, from Twente, is an inimitable storyteller. In his new performance 'Pushed to the limit', Thijs investigates why our collective common sense has been exchanged for an 'unhealthy' kind of panic football. We are now so terrified of a scratch on our soul that we have put our lives in the freezer as a preventive measure, so that later we can at least be buried in perfect health and unused.
Thijs is normally kindness itself, but recently even he reached the proverbial edge. He was about to take the law into his own hands — which with his two left hands was a pretty hopeless mission anyway. He shares his frustrations about a world in which protocols are more important than people in a hilarious and moving way. With his masterful timing and Twente down-to-earthness, he provides a liberating laugh, but he also makes you think while laughing: how do we ensure that we are not really pushed over the edge?
