In the spectacular show 'The Glory of Glamrock' by the band The Glamrocks, rock music and the accompanying exuberant glitter and glam outfits coincide perfectly. The flamboyant musicians, drummer Toni Peroni, singer Marcel van den Berg, keyboardist René Meister, bassist Rob Smeink and guitarist Alfred van der Linden, take you back to the early 1970s. When Sweet, Mud, David Bowie, Queen, Alice Cooper, Slade and The Osmonds celebrated success with the then new sound glam rock.

Presenter, jury member and radio DJ Henkjan Smits tells juicy stories and anecdotes about these extravagantly dressed rock artists in this glorious pop decade. He provides peace and quiet in this dynamic program.

With 'The Glory of Glamrock', the energetic band The Glamrocks celebrates its love for rock music from the 70s, together with a new audience and a large fan base.

The band members of The Glamrocks have more than earned their spurs. Toni Peroni and René Meister played in Het Goede Doel, among others. Marcel van den Berg sang in the Amstel Live Band, among others. You may know Alfred van der Linden from Bintangs and Rob Smeink is known from The Beuk Brothers. Henkjan Smits is a jury member of major TV talent shows such as Idols, X-Factor and Holland's Got Talent, producer and presenter.
