Tim Knol

Tim Knol walks. Not with the dog, but around Texel, through Norway with his little daughter on his back, around the IJsselmeer, from the point where three countries meet all the way to Groningen. On these walks he looks back on his previous life as the convivial, but also dangerously overweight, singer-songwriter.

Walking has slowly but surely crept into Tim’s songs. Restlessness has made way for reflection; anger is now love. In the show ‘Wanderings’, Tim talks about his walks and plays the songs that played an important part during these long treks.

Happily, a lot is still the same as before. Tim alone on a stage full of instruments, beautiful covers and lots of new songs. What has changed? Tim himself. That is what ‘Wanderings’ is about. Reflecting while walking, and turning that into something beautiful.
