The Netherlands Wind Ensemble and Duda Paiva Company join forces again in Breath of the Forest, an urgent theatrical concert performance, made with the Kamayurá community deep in the Amazon region. Together with Andreia Duarte, artist and researcher who lived among the Kamayurá for many years, they traveled to the Amazon and immersed themselves in the existence of this indigenous community.

Inspired by their worldview and the music of Heitor Villa-Lobos, the performance interweaves live music, movement and puppetry into a ritual of listening. The project recognizes indigenous peoples as custodians of the Amazon and bearers of indispensable knowledge. A meditative and physical experience, rooted in an ethical exchange and with mutual consent, told in foam, breath and sound.
