Tineke Schouten has passed the retirement age by far, but is still standing in front of sold-out rooms evening after evening. When you see her running and flying on stage, you wonder how she actually maintains the killer pace of her shows. And that is exactly the question Schouten asks herself in her new show Femme Vitaal.
Sitting behind the geraniums is not for her. But to be honest, finding out is a lot harder than it was 20 years ago. In order not to disappoint her audience, Tineke does what she can to be fit and healthy on stage in the coming years. What is the secret of eternal youth? In her 28th (yes, you read that right) show, the thunderous laughter is alternated with moving songs accompanied by Tineke's regular musicians. Tineke exposes herself to her audience - now four generations – all to herself. Well, bíjna all the way. Because the queen of the types prefers to wear something with a longer sleeve lately.
Femme Vitaal makes a spiritual journey to inner beauty and primal power. Nice, of course. But Tineke is also just happy that she's still alive. Young in spirit and with the approval of her general practitioner, she therefore travels through the country again.
