What happens when two exes, with their teenagers, their frustrations and their unfinished emotions, end up under one roof again thanks to the housing shortage and sheer bad luck? How long can that last?
In Huisgenoten we follow Claudia, Kai and their teenage daughters through a year full of misunderstandings, new loves, old feelings and far too little privacy. Forced to keep living under one roof, they wrestle with their divorce, their children, new partners and, above all, themselves. But then it turns out that some feelings refuse to move out. As boundaries blur and emotions clash, it becomes painfully and hilariously clear that some loves are more stubborn than you’d like.
Huisgenoten is a sharp, recognisable and wonderfully honest romantic comedy about life as it really is: messy, moving and often incredibly funny. For everyone who lives together, has lived together, or bravely keeps on trying.
